If there’s one thing I hope people learned this summer it’s that “rubber” bullets and flash bangs are real weapons that can hurt and kill people. So when Israeli soldiers fired a spray of rubber bullets and flash bangs in to a MOSQUE — the Al Aqsa MOSQUE — because people were throwing stones at fully armored, fully protected soldiers, I want you to know that it wasn’t a fair fight, or a defensible one.
YES. They should’ve taken the hits. Let the rocks bounce off their HELMETS, their US-funded armor, the protective gear they wear for situations like this. THEY SHOULD HAVE TAKEN IT.
They should not have fired weapons into a mosque.
In response, Hamas shot rockets over the wall. Like they do. There were no reported injuries or deaths. They also launched “incendiary balloons,” which set some fields and land on fire, but also, no reported injuries or deaths.
Go back a step.
Why were they throwing rocks?
Palestinians have been protesting EVERY DAY for weeks.
Why?
Because of a series of evictions.
Evictions? This is about people getting kicked out of houses?
